Markus Bender - Professional Career Overview

Markus Bender - born in 1963 - holds a master degree in industrial engineering from Fachhochschule Karlsruhe.

Senior manager with 20+ years experience in sales, presales and technical marketing at a leading, international IT company serving customers and partners in Europe.

The native Badener is married and lives together with his family in the Northern part of the black forrest.

For more than 10 years, he was responsible to manage teams with employees of different nationalities spread over several European countries and company sites.

He started his professional career in the late 80s as a systems engineer. For many years he developed, maintained and operated live computer information systems at international professional sport events (tennis and golf) all over Europe.

As a Technical Consultant, he subsequently provided consulting to Enterprise Server customers in Europe, middle east and Africa on their way from proprietary to state-of-the- art highend Unix servers.

In 1997 he moved to California/USA to become the key figure for the successful product transfer of an high-end computer server from USA to Europe.

As Solution Demo Center manager he developed the demo strategy for all computer and storage solutions for his customers in Europe.

Over 10years, he managed the HP/Oracle Competence Center consisting of up to 15 technical consultants and was in charge of the functional management of more than 50 IT professionals in Europe.

He is an experienced moderator of customer and partner events in Europe and USA (up to 500 participants) and successfully presented as a technical speaker at national and international events.

He especially enjoys developing and conducting technical and softskill trainings and seminars for employees and managers.

During his many years in consulting and management roles, he was assisting hundreds of customers (from SMB to enterprise size) across all industries (Manufacturing, Retail, Automotive, Financial Services, Government, Pharmaceutical,...) in their strategic projects in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is more than happy to share those valuable experience - gained in an international business environment - with you in your daily projects.
